To constantly respond to the call of Jesus Christ to “make disciples of all nations” despite the pandemic, the Holy Rosary Minor Seminary developed the Formation-at-Home Program. The seminary provided the holistic priestly formation of the seminarians while at home with the active participation of their respective parishes and families. Now that the culmination of the Formation Year 2020-2021 has come, it is with great joy that the Holy Rosary Minor Seminary celebrates the hard work and accomplishments of its seminarians through the Moving Up and Graduation Ceremonies. Instead of the Virtual Rites, the Seminary Fathers, with the approval of the Most Rev. Rolando J. Tria Tirona, OCD, DD, Archbishop of Caceres, decided to celebrate within the Sunday Masses (commenced last May 23) the Culminating Rites in the respective parishes of the seminarians where the parish community and their families can celebrate more meaningfully not only the gift of education but more importantly the gift of vocation. Last May 23, the Moving Up Rites of the Grade 10 students from Immaculate Conception Parish (Naga and Quipayo), Holy Cross Parish (Nabua) and Saint Bernard Abbot Parish (Ocampo) were conducted. Today, May 29, 2021, the Graduation and Investiture Ceremonies of the Grade 12 Libmanan Seminarians was conducted at St. Benedict Seminary, San Fernando, Camarines Sur. The other seminarians are scheduled on the following Sundays until June 20. The very distinctive element in the Graduation Ceremonies is that of the Senior High School students. Within the Holy Mass, after the Homily, is the Rite of the Solemn Investiture wherein they shall receive and wear their respective Cassock for the first time – an initial step in their journey to the priesthood. This is done in the presence of the parish community and their parents, who willingly offered their sons for the love and service of Christ and the Mother Church.
